Arcelormittal Steel USA Coil Yard Logistical Center Addition

Description of Project:

Basic engineering services required to assist the plant in Phase 1 development of the new Logistical Center. All new design work, engineering and estimates will be used in determining the location and financial requirements of the new building and equipment. Create documentation needed to present the need and cost of the new building and equipment.

Scope of Work:

Complete multi-disciplined engineering consisting of the following:

» Assist the Owner with writing equipment specifications based on the overall scope and project objectives.
» Lead the effort to develop the project’s overall equipment, installation and engineering budgets based on bids from potential equipment Vendors, Installation Contractors and professional estimates for engineering
» Develop a +/- 10% Construction, Installation and Engineering Estimate.
» Extension of bridge crane rails.
» Design building sub-grade to allow bridge crane to travel overhead.

Value to Client:

Created documentation needed for a presentation to the IAC (International Accounting Committee) for approval of the new building and equipment. The detailed work breakdown structure ensures all items were identified and a cost associated for each.
